Welcome Message

The 1st Asian Conference on Plant Pathology was held in Beijing, China in the Year 2000 while the second conference was held in Singapore in 2005. The principal aim of the conference is to create a forum for Asian plant pathologists who are interested in or related to scientific work, information or business in plant pathology. The conference mainly dedicates to review the current status and advances of plant pathology and sharing of new ideas and achievements among Asian countries. The conference presents selected topics such as host-pathogen interactions, fungal diseases, viral diseases, prokaryote diseases, nematode diseases, epidemiology and crop loss assessment, biological control, postharvest diseases and mycotoxin, integrated disease management, etc. Due to high demand in Asian countries and other parts of the world on ornamental plants such as orchid, aroid, carnivorous plants, and adenium, we invite participants to deliver diseases and its management of these plants.

The second conference in Singapore was attended not only by delegates from Asian countries such as China, India, Indonesia, Iran,  Japan, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand,  and Vietnam but also from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Italy, New Zealand, Samoa, Spain, United Kingdom, and the United States,. We hope that more countries will participate in the coming conference.

We would like to invite you to join us in this forthcoming conference to be held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia from the 20th - 23th August 2007. Looking forward to your participation.
